Professional Organizers – Patience And Cleverness To Clear Up The Clutter

November 30th, 2009 No comments

Not everyone has the time or the patience to keep their spaces as tidy as they would like. People are busy and do not always have the time to deal with clutter and over time it will begin to build up. If the task becomes overwhelming, there are people that one can turn to to help get the mess turned around. Professional organizers are out there and have the experience to get the clutter under control.

The first thing that will be done once the organizer arrives is to figure out a game plan. They will ask you questions about what you would initially like for the space to look like and what type of organization you would like. After that, you both will be on the same page and can get a plan in place.

Once a plan has been established, all of the items in the space will be cleared out. With the room being cleared, it will be easier to start over and have a fresh start. Everything that was taken out of the room will be sorted through and will be divided into three different piles. Those piles will be keep, toss and donate. All of the toss and donate items will be done right away so there is no chance they will make it back into the room on second thoughts.

With the excess clutter removed from the room, it is time to set up the organization system. The bins will be brought in, the shelving system will be set up and the previously decided on organizational system will be set up. Then all of the keep items will be brought back into the room. The items that are used most and are the most important will go in the easiest to access areas. The rest of the items will go in the other areas.

Once the space is completed, another assessment of the room will be taken to make sure the best possible organization was done and it will fit into the customer’s lifestyle. Some organizers will even come back in the future to check in and see how things are going.

Anyone with great organizational skills can become a professional organizer. Try out your skills at the homes of friends and your family. Take before and after pictures to show potential customers your work. There are classes that can be taken to hone your skills and you can even become certified as a professional organizer.

An organizer can be a great asset to someone who does not have the time to do it themselves and also to someone who just does not know where to start. With a little help, the room can be clutter free once again.
