Chickens are wonderful creatures and we can fully understand the reason behind someone wanting to own them. You can get some prize winning ones such as silkies in order to show off at the county fair each year. You can also get some regular hens that will give you good eggs each day. No matter what you do, you will need to learn how to build a chicken coop. That chicken coop will be the chickens home. You should do you best in order to make sure those chickens are protected. Did you know that building a coop is not that hard to do at all? In fact, it is very easy. You do not have experience when it comes to putting one of these wonderful coops together. The first thing you need to do is think about the size that you would like the chicken coop to be. Would you like one that is small? When you get a small one, you will be able to transport it around. However, if you plan on the chickens staying in one spot, then we highly recommend you looking into building one that is large.

Take note that just because you are building a big chicken coop, it does not mean that it is going to be hard. In fact, it will be just like building a small one, but it will be a bit heavier.

As you are positioning the coop, you need to make sure you place it where the sunlight is the best during the early mornings.

Before you start to build this big house, you will need to figure out where to place it. We highly recommend you paying attention to the morning sunlight and putting it where the sunlight shines bright during the morning hours. There is something about chickens and that morning sun as they absolutely enjoy it.

As for the materials list, you will not need a lot. Yes, you will need some wood for the frame as well as the nesting area. You will also need some wire mesh in order to close them in and don’t forget about the nails.

When it comes to the material list, you will find that you will not require much. In fact, it is really easy. You will need some wood, mesh wire, hammer and nails. If you are not able to spend much money, then you can use treated pine or even hardwood.

As you are putting the roof up, you may need someone to help you out. Remember, whatever you do, make sure you seal the chickens in, because there are many wild animals out there that would love to get a taste of some fresh chicken.
