It is not really a tough task to repair the clay tile roof. But if you have some handy tools with you, you can try your hands on repairing it. The first job is to clean the fractured mortar with a cold chisel and hammer. Then replace the cap tiles in a proper manner. You have to be very careful to the synchronization of the tiles so that you can arrange them in the same order.
When the cleaning part gets completed, keep the tiles under water for some hours. Then amalgamate one part of cement to three parts of sand and add sufficient water to make a proper tight mortar. Then with a small trowel, spread the mortar all over the place.
Then change the tiles with a new mortar and clear up any mortar if there is any poking out with a trowel. If there is a major issue to fix, then take the help of a specialist roofer.
