Some Good Reasons You Should Get A Portable Garage

November 22nd, 2009 No comments

Not everyone owns a garage to keep their cars in. This makes your vehicle susceptible to the harsh weather conditions which will destroy your paint job. One easy solution for this problem is to get a portable garage.

Portable garages are a cost effective way to protect your valuables. They can be installed in minutes and are easily customized to suit your needs.

Benefits of portable garages

There are many reasons why you should buy a portable garage as opposed to building a permanent structure.

Price: The price you will pay for a permanent structure is far more than what you would pay for a portable garage. Either way your vehicle is protected from outside weather conditions.

No need for a foundation: Unlike a permanent garage, portable garages do not need to have a foundation and that will save you time and money. The price of having a foundation poured will cost a pretty penny and the time it takes to dry will be frustrating.

No building permits: When you are planning on having any structure built you will have to get a building permit from the county. By using a portable garage you will save yourself from having to apply for a permit and wait for inspectors to approve your garage.

Up in minutes: Building a garage will most likely take several weeks. During this entire time your vehicle will have to sit in the elements. A portable garage is easy to set up and can be done in a matter of minutes.

Flexibility: In addition to the obvious use for a portable garage, they can also be used for such things as outdoor projects and storing larger items. They are especially handy for such things as staining furniture, as they will offer protection from the elements along with plenty of ventilation for you.

Several choices

The portable garage always consists of a metal tubing frame, but there are many different materials that the covering can be made from. You can get canvas, polyester, or mesh material depending on your needs.

Along with the different material that these garages are made from, there are also many different shapes and sizes.

With the portable you can choose from a dome shape or a peaked roof model. Make sure to measure your vehicle before going to purchase your garage.

Portable garages are a versatile and inexpensive way to store your vehicle or complete a major household project. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and the set up is in minutes. They are a great choice for anyone who needs a place to store their car.

Temperature Control With A Garage Heater

Your garage may be one of the few places utilized for variety of purposes. And to keep it in the right condition with an optimum environment, you will find garage heater a very useful piece of equipment. During summers natural warmth keeps temperatures at adequate levels, comfortable to work in. However, in the winter some additional arrangement is needed to retain warmth.

These days variety of heaters are available in abundance and among them propane radiant heater is widespread. A radiant garage heater is a heat source designed specifically to heat your garage and uses kerosene or propane to give it power.

Radiant garage heaters usually do not have any sort of blowing fan, the heat radiates outwards off the heating elements. Using propane for your radiant garage heater is great because propane is a highly concentrated source that can hold around 1,000 gallons of fuel. Moreover being a smokeless heater, it becomes an ideal choice to be used indoors like garage.

A propane radiant heater is an excellent option for inexpensive heating and portability of such heaters makes them ideal when you require shifting a garage heater from one workspace to another with minimal trouble. Apart from it they are compact in their structure with a propane cylinder attached to it which can be refueled whenever exhausted.

Another aspect to be focused on is the temperature control facility of a garage heater. Since your garage may have a collection of many inflammable materials like kerosene, petrol, paint, wood, papers etc, high temperatures makes them vulnerable to ignition temperature. Also in case of a propane radiant heater, it must have a controlled flame which does not affect things placed nearby.

There are two variations in such heaters. One is a single Tag-a-long heater which uses a single propane tank for heat emission. The other one is double Tag-a-long heater which uses two propane tanks for heat emission.

Due to the presence of a double propane tank, double Tag-a-long provides quick and more heat emission than the single Tag-a-long. Also the individual tanks can be controlled through manual controlling on the heater itself.

Radiant heaters are also very convenient as they help in saving fuel consumption by heating only certain areas as opposed to an enclosed space. Thus keeping the heater on for a long duration to heat up the entire garage space may not be required and thus efficient utilization of propane fuel takes place making them as ideal garage heaters.
