2 Person Sauna Buying Guide

July 26th, 2009 Tony McMann No comments

You may not believe it, but buying a two person sauna on the web is becoming more popular each year. Even though they can be big the cost savings of an online 2 person sauna purchase usually overshadows the price of shipping when buying a 2 person sauna. Quite often you’ll be able to find sauna sales online. So if you’re considering buying a two person sauna on the web you’re certainly not by yourself.

There are several hints you’ll want to follow if you’re buying a two person sauna on the web. Of course they are also pertinent to offline 2 person sauna purchases, but are even more important when you buy your sauna on the web. Don’t forget this is a major purchase and doing your homework will pay off in time.

1. Begin by checking out ALL of the varieties for the kind of 2 person sauna you are looking to purchase. I realize this will require a bit of time, but it will be well worth it after you begin comparing features and prices of the different saunas. And because this is a web purchase you can do it from the comfort of your own house. Go get your favorite beverage and plan to be in front of the PC comparing all the various models of saunas available. You’ll be pleased that you did when it comes time to buy your sauna.

2. Check and find out what variety of wood your new sauna is made of. Cedar is definitely the best wood for a sauna and you should look for saunas constructed of cedar. Your sauna will absorb a great deal of water and other types of woods are not quite as good at handling this as cedar wood. If you don’t want to deal with warping and cracking down the road make sure it’s cedar.

3. After your sauna is delivered I recommend that you get a professional to install it. It will be a bit pricey, but it’s definitely worth it to get the relaxation knowing that your new two person sauna is correctly put in and that you won’t have to worry later about water leaks or electrical concerns. In the very worst case the sauna may be a tragedy waiting to occur if not installed correctly. You can save money by buying a cheap sauna, but don’t cut corners on installation.

Once you start looking and comparing I know you’ll see that buying your two person sauna on the web is the way to go. There’s no need to take yourself out to the store or haggle with salespeople looking for sauna sales, simply relax and read up until you find the model that’s right for you. And then enjoy your spanking new 2 person sauna!

Should You Get An Electric Pool Heater?

July 4th, 2009 Summer Augustina No comments

A popular type of pool heater are the electric pool heaters, which are more sophisticated than gas powered heaters, and offer some great savings. In this article, I’m going to be telling you more about these bill savings, and some drawbacks that you need to know before you make a decision about buying one.

The electric pool heater uses a technology very similar to the way that air conditioning works. It is essentially a heat pump which means that it moves heat from one place to another stop

With these heaters, the heat comes out of the air surrounding the unit and is transferred into the water that comes from your pool. The water is then returned to the pool where it raises the temperature.

If you have looked at pool heat pumps before, you may have been struck by the high price. It is not unusual to find units costing $5000 or more, which seems extremely expensive when you compare it to the much cheaper gas powered heaters that are available on the market. However, the high price of installing one of these systems is offset by their very low running costs, which could save you as much as $2000 a year when compared to propane heaters.

Electric power heaters are much more economical, costing about half that price to run.

For these reasons, you should find that is an electric pool heater will pay for itself within three years, or less depending on your own area and climate. After this, you’re making savings all the way.

In spite of all this, there are some situations where electric pool heaters do not perform as well as propane heaters. This is when the air is colder, and there is less energy in the air heat your pool. While it will prevent the water from freezing, it will not raise the temperature to a comfortable level, unless you have a very powerful pool heat pump.

This leaves you with two different options. One of them is to install a very powerful heat pump which is capable of generating hot water all year round. Another option is to use a secondary heater such as a gas powered heater, which will only operate when the heat from the electric pool heater is not enough. This way, your heating bills will still be low compared to using a gas heater on its own.
