Solve Your CCTV Problems With A Security DVR

December 5th, 2009 No comments

Security is something that is essential both in your workplace and at home, although up until now there have been a few glitches that needed ironing out. Now you will find that you are able to get the amount of security you need no matter the size of your establishment, plus you will find that there are many other benefits also to using a security DVR (Digital Video Recorder).

The first and most obvious reason why people choose this kind of recording system is because it does not require any tapes in the way that a VHS recorder would, this means that you are over time able to save money and not have to worry about the security records being either misplaced or damaged.

You will never again have to keep checking to make sure you have enough tape left in order to record for the amount of time you need. You will be able to leave the DVR recording for days at a time without having to worry about recording over the previous recordings. This will mean that if you have missed out on something that is important then you have the ability to return back to that spot easily and not kick yourself because the recording has been recorded over or that the VHS has stopped running as it is full. This is useful for those whose business is closed over the weekend or when you are away on vacation.

When you choose a DVR you can be sure that the quality of any recordings and playback will give you excellent clarity which means that on a technicality of poor picture the criminals will not be able to run free as they have done in the past. No matter how many times you have to record over your previous recordings you will find that the new images still retain their quality which is something that cannot be said for VHS.

You have the benefit of the DVR’s being accessible even when you are not in the same building that they are located. The reason for this is that many now have network ability with assignable IP addresses which allows you to get access to the recordings from anywhere that you are able to get access to the internet.

Even larger establishments can benefit, and they will be able to save on the amount of space that is usually taken up with recording equipment and storage as with only one DVR you can if needed add 16 cameras or more and still not lose any quality as you may have done with other security forms. This will ensure you get to see every corner of the interior and exterior of the building you need to and record the information without having to compromise on the little space you may have.

Of course saving money long term is one of the great aspects that will attract many people to purchase a DVR but the fact you are able to have all the CCTV security you need with one machine is also of benefit to many people.

Whether it is your home or business that you need to keep a watchful eye on you can be sure of the peace of mind that a DVR is able to offer you and you will feel confident that if anyone does enter your property or land without prior permission there is a better chance that they will be caught.

Security Cameras Are A Great Way To Keep Your Home Safe

November 13th, 2009 No comments

Everyone knows that family is the most important thing to anyone. Keeping your family safe is the most important job you have. You may not always be able to be home to protect them yourself. Security cameras will allow you to protect your family and home around the clock from intruders or break ins.

Adding an alarm system to your home along with the security cameras is always a great idea. With most alarm systems you will have the option to notify the authorities if someone is trying to break in to your home. Sleep will come much easier once you have installed these systems and you know that your family and home is protected.

Before you start installing the cameras you will have to decide where you need them the most. Are you installing them to just watch the outside of your home? You may want to focus more on the inside of the house or even a specific room. This decision is entirely yours to make. The reason behind getting the cameras will probably determine where you put them.

You can use wired or wireless cameras. Depending on what you are using the cameras for and whether you want them visible or you need to hide them will help to determine whether to use wireless or wired. Wired cameras are a little trickier to hide because of all the wiring. Wireless cameras have more flexibility in where they can be placed. However both a wired and wireless camera will require power, either from a battery or power outlet.

Wireless cameras are also easily interrupted. Cordless phones, wireless Internet, and baby monitors can mess with your wireless cameras. Large cameras are usually placed where people would typically expect to see a camera. There are however cameras that are so small they can fit into an alarm clock and no one would know it was there.

I personally believe that if you are leaving your child at home with a babysitter or nanny that it is wise to invest in what is called a nanny cam. Most people just assume that their child will be taken care of and that no one would try to hurt their innocent child. Unfortunately this is not always the case and children are being abused by babysitters all over the world. This small camera can keep your child protected. You may even feel the need to tell the babysitter or nanny they are being watched.

When you tell someone they will be watched they tend to act more appropriately. This is a great way to ensure that the nanny or babysitter takes great care of your child. By telling them about the camera you are also protecting yourself against a lawsuit if things go badly. You should also inform all visitors to your home that there are cameras.

There is no better way to invest your money than on protecting your home and family. Security cameras are a great investment. You can relax now that you have protection for your family. Choose the style of camera right for you and then just simply relax. If anything goes badly you will be thankful you installed the cameras.
