Sony LCD TV Has HD Quality Picture

December 10th, 2009 Matthew Kerridge No comments

The Sony LCD TV is quite good at conveying the detail because of its extra brightness, sharpness and resolution of its picture. The definition of this their LCD televisions are not high definition but they are high impact none the less. The Sony LCD TV does beautifully with landscape shots. It captures the natural colors of the scenes so well that many nature scenes that you find in movies or nature shows are absolutely breathtaking.

The television delivers incredible landscape and nature scenes, so realistic and eye popping that it definitely is hard to tell whether or not this television is HD or LCD.

The KLV-23HR2 model, 23″ Sony LCD TV is probably more of an average to possibly good television. The main reason it does not rank higher than good is because for some unknown reason, Sony did not include a VGA input anywhere on the television set. This is truly a shame because the picture quality is extremely beautiful and would make for a wonderful monitor for any computer. Other than this, a lot of the other features that come with this television are of very high quality.

This little television comes with an NTSC tuner so that you can watch regular television. It also has some wonderful speakers that are built right into the system. One wouldn’t think that for a television this size that the speakers would be of high quality. But surprisingly enough, they are quite good. Another nice feature is its WOWa Audio Effect which allows you to adjust base levels of the audio and improve the mid-range audio.

The Sony LCD TV and its 23″ model are all about cutting down on cable connections that interfere with the sleek look of the television itself. To accomplish this they have equipped the display with a removable back where the owner can organize the cables.

Being a very lightweight television you have the option of placing it on the wall or just keep it in its attractive sleek base that also allows you to adjust the television to make it easier to view from wherever you are sitting.

This is a nice little set when it comes to being able to accept most any type of HD formats that are available which makes the television ready and able to accept HD broadcasts.

Another nice little feature that the Sony LCD TV has is the ability to use a Memory Stick so that you can watch videos on or upload your pictures for your viewing pleasure. You also have the ability to record this items as well. Only drawback is that you might find it hard to find something compatible with the TV and may have to resort to using only Sony products.

This is a nice product but really on the pricey side especially being just a 23″ and without the capability of using it as a computer monitor. This might be drawbacks for some people who would expect as much as possible for a television that might cost them over $2,200.

Toshiba LCD TV Sets In Review

November 24th, 2009 Matthew Kerridge No comments

The family of Toshiba LCD TV sets shows why they are the leading producer of innovative and functional products. They create and use the latest in cutting edge technology, and often develop new ones. Their models all have different types of features you can choose, and having an understanding of the most popular can help to determine the right TV for you.

All of the sets they have available come in a black casing with a contemporary design so they can be placed into any room and not disrupt the decor. They give you a stylish set that showcases the technology inside, and manage to keep them small enough to fit onto an entertainment stand easily.

All of the LCD sets are HD ready, and have ample HDMI slots to get the most out of it. Toshiba also makes sure that the sets have plenty of input and output slots for all your electronics. They also all feature a gaming mode, which allows your console to have a dedicated channel so you can play, and have reduced the controller delay from your hand to the set.

Toshiba has back light technology light years ahead of other companies. Some will include DynaLight, a sensor that will mechanically adjust to the brightness of the screen so it never becomes too bright, or dim, to clearly see the details. FocaLight is on other models, and this keeps the screen at the same level of brightness and can bring up details in very dark scenes, so you never miss a thing.

They make every effort to have a smooth picture at all times, and some sets have a Clear Frame 120 to accomplish this. This technology doubles the frame rate on the screen, so it won’t skip or flicker while you watch. Other sets have Resolution plus giving everything you see HD quality and showing you a very clear picture at all times.

For when the lighting conditions change in your house, or on the screen, they have AutoView. This is a sensor that processes the available light and adjusts the screen so you can see it clearly at all times. Some have Crystal Coat, and this can stop light from the sun or lamps from washing out the screen, giving you a bright picture no matter what the light is.

Toshiba LCD TV sets offer a plethora of technologies on their products at every price point. They make efforts to give you the best technology available in a quality product and the deliver.
